Matthew Matt James, born December 5, 1991 on the 5th of December, 1991 in North Carolina. James is the daughter of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He is an Nigerian mother, and an American caucasian father. He graduated of Sanderson High School. In 2015, he received a Bachelor of Economics degree from Wake Forest University. James made headlines when the reality show he appeared on became a star in The Bachelorette. James was selected as the new bachelor on The Bachelor season 25, making him the first African American male star. The series premiered later that year. James's appearance, size and sense of humor make him an ideal choice for the part. Rachael Krakconnell, who was his girlfriend through the remainder of the season. In 2021 he partnered with the famous dancer Arnold to take part in the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James as well as Arnold finished 12th.

In the midst of the prep school Sarah caught the acting bug at an extremely young age. Her drama teacher spotted her running across his lawn, in order to miss the field hockey game, he advised that she should not attend practice but be part of the cast in Richard III and thus began her adoration of acting.
